As your child's return to school approaches, it's probable you're already gathering their supplies. After all of the hard work and money you put into getting their materials for school, it can be disheartening to learn that your child has lost them. To avoid this situation as much as possible, here are some tips on how to keep your child's school supplies organized.

How to Help Your Child Organize Their School Supplies

  1. One of the best things you can do is to simply label your child's school supplies. This will help ensure that if something is ever misplaced, it will return to its rightful owner. You can put your child's name and grade on their supplies to that end.
  2. Even if your child's supplies are labeled, there is a possibility that they will still lose them. If you don't want your child's education to suffer because they didn't have a pencil to write with, provide them with extra supplies that they can take to school and use whenever needed.
  3. Another way you can help your child manage their supplies is to create an organizational system with them. For example, they can place all of the smaller items - pens, erasers, highlighters, and more - in a pencil case. Just remind them to put the things back in their place after they use them.
  4. Lastly, while your child may noble lending a peer supplies when they're missing some, you should teach your child to ask for them back once the other person is done with them.
